Dare

I dare the lion to act like a lion
Unlike circus, real world needs real action

Where are your blade sharp claws?
How they are soft, like a cat’s paws?

Where are your knife like teeth?
Were they just some yesterday’s myth?

Where’s your heart, tough and strong?
Or was it me, who took you wrong?

Where are your fearless eyes?
Had them all blinded by your cries?

Now I dare the lion to act like a lion!
Behold! It’s time for a new champion!

Stop sleeping, make your days!
Wake up now, there’s still more to face

<Written inside a lion’s cage, dedicated to TD, 2001>

The poem was written by B when I was in the middle of nowhere but high and dry… Thanks, B!!!
