Movie Marathon
Last week, without realizing it, I had had a movie marathon in theatre!!
Start from Thrusday nite, 16th Aug ‘07:
Bourne Ultimatum; Havent seen the rest of Bourne’s movie. Had the synopsis about the previous movies from my friends. A very stylish movie, fast pace, very dynamic camera movement. In term of storyline it is pretty simple, Bourne finally regain his memory back and run away… again… Kinda view it as US Version of James Bond, without the ladies or unnecessary sensual scenes… Never really like Matt Damon, but he is well playing in CIA roles…

Chak De India… Had a quick review on it on the other article "Catatan Tanggal 17 Agustus 2007"
Saturday evening, 18th Aug ‘07
Ghandi My Father. Never really know about Ghandi, except he is one of freedom movement leader who against violence and separation between Hindus and Moslems in India. This movie was describing about his relationship between Gandhi and his first son, Harilal. I might not been able to appreciate the movie as much as if I were an Indian, but I was touched by the movie. Not sure how much authentic is the story, the movie tried to convey how difficult it is to be a son of such an idealistic man, which maybe combine with such unfortunate situation, has lead Harilal to a rough path. Gandhi is showed as a very idealistic man even as a father. He loves his country so much and he holds his principles high. Always thinking about other people and serving the community. The movie also showed a bit of Gandhi journey. Mostly it described how Harilal was struggling in his life, to recover but then fell again into his past. Harilal died 5 months after Gandhi was shot in Mumbai Hospital, in poor and ill condition.
Sunday evening, 19th Aug ‘07…
Knocked Up… supposed to be a funny movie… well, it is funny, but for me quite a nightmare also :D. The story is about this young woman who just started her career as VJ in E! Entertainment. After her promotion, she went to this club, got drunk and slept with this jobles-no future-who lived with 5 other "useless" housemates" guy. Well, the movie has a happy ending… quite cliche actually… the guy started to learn to live with the girl and got to know her family, they had up and down relationship, and finally they had a cute baby girl and by then the guy had become a responsible guy. Important message: Don’t get drunk with a stranger and get sleep together without protection…
:D
Next movie I have been waiting for since last May: Ratatouille (Rat-a-too-ee)! Oh yeah.. I think I’ll banned Quentin Tarantino from my list… hehehe… he is just too unique man! I am just an ordinary movie freak…
